About Us

Hula Groove is a 9-piece band consisting of 5 male musicians and 4 female singers. Each of the singers shares the role of lead vocals providing you and your guests with a unique and varied evening of entertainment. We are also able to offer an optional all-female, 3 piece live horn section for a small additional charge and subject to availability.

While we understand that you may be able to find smaller, cheaper bands; we want you and your guests to have the best possible experience. We therefore do not hire ourselves out in any smaller combinations.

We can play venues of almost any size. We don't play any louder than is absolutely necessary to create the right atmosphere and have years of experience creating fabulous weddings and parties. We believe that its worth paying just a little more to guarantee that your guests will have a memorable evening.

The members of Hula Groove got together out of a shared love for soul, funk and disco music. We have created a party band that combined a sense of style and sophistication with the spontaneity and sense of fun you would experience if you had invited us to your party as guests. Every aspect of our performance conveys style, sophistication and quality.

Musically, Hula Groove is all about harmony and rhythm. We take a well-loved song and then cook it in our soul kitchen with infectious rhythms and lush harmonies to create a sound that you will never want to stop. We can turn the most uptight audience member into a gyrating, throbbing dance-machine!

We have over 60 years combined experience as professional musicians. We play a wide range of music and cater to all ages!
