Unfortunately, it is really difficult to give an indication of our charges without knowing a bit more about your event. Various things can affect the cost of hiring a band including the date, the size and location of the venue, the length of time you want us to play and the equipment we will need to bring.
Our priority is to give your guests the best possible experience and to work within your budget wherever possible. So please, contact us now and we will be happy to give you a quotation with no obligation and no hard sell.
If your budget is less than £1000 we will probably not be able to help. If your budget is less than this we would strongly urge you NOT to book a band and to book a DJ instead. Bands that charge less than £1000 are unlikely to be professional musicians. Your event is far too important to leave in the hands of amateurs however enthusiastic they may be.
From our experience, the size of venue and the number of guests bears no relation to the size of band that would be best suited to the event. Our largest band has played at fantastic events held in small rooms for less than 50 guests. The size of band should be dictated by the budget you have available and not by the size of the venue.
We require 25% of the full fee at the time of booking. The balance is then paid by direct transfer of cheque a week before your event.
We are happy to play anywhere in the world!
We typically perform at a public showcase twice a year in February and Setember. Contact us for details.
We also perform regularly at private functions around the UK (see schedule here). Although we cannot officially invite clients to these events it may be possible for you to get close enough to hear the band, particularly if the event is in a public building such as a hotel or restaurant. Please contact us now for full details of performance dates in your area.
We can offer various band configurations to suit every budget. Please contact us for rates . Additional singers, musicians and a horns section can be added to any band to suit your budget.
The band supply their own PA system. We also supply a dedicated lighting rig and technician.
Clients are welcome to request specific songs and we will try to accommodate these where possible.
The band will perform at a wide variety of venues from pubs & village halls to large country estates, theatres, halls, hotel function rooms. The band will also perform in marquees or outdoors, under cover, if the weather allows it.
Depending on the band size a stage from 4m by 3.5m is adequate for our performance.
We need about 60 minutes to set up in advance of the performance.
The larger band will perform a total of 140 minutes of live music, either as 2 sets with a break or 3 shorter sets with 2 breaks.
We are happy to play a selection of continuous music that is mixed together before and between our performances. Most clients do not find that they need a DJ in addition to the band.
We hold two public fundraisers a year for our own chosen charity to help us feel soft and gooey. The rest of the time we have to pay the bills the same as any other professionals.
So, the short answer to your question is no, we probably won’t be able to perform at your charity event free of charge. That said, if your event is being held mid-week, in London in January, February or November there is a very slim chance that we might help out if you cover our expenses and feed us with copious amounts of Chilli Heatwave Doritos.
